Game Summary: Arrrggggggg.......

You play the way you practice - you practice the way you play.

Score at half was 1-0 them. They had many opportunities to score and could not put the ball on net.

Why did they get these chances? Here is why:

They crossed the ball at 45 degree angles consistently.

Humm… something that we practiced – but did we do it?

Were the inside Mids and outside Mids covering the runner?

No cover on support.

Second defender just watched and never attempted a double team.

Forwards and Mids allowed so much space for them to cross the ball:

Pressure on the ball means little space.

Who wants to win the ball?

If we win less than 25% of all 50-50 balls – what are the odds that we will win the game?

Did we run onto the ball? Yes – but we also stopped if we saw someone else closing in. Why?

Communication.

Did Pottsgrove talk? Did the players listen?

Did we talk? Did we listen?

The second half we stood and watched. Allowed them to step in front of us and one/two touched us to death.

How many times did Mezs step up and steal the ball only to find that he had NO support. Who covered for him?

Why was no one else stepping up for the tackle or the steal other than Mesz?

Reilly started to come alive in this game – but he almost lost a couple of teeth.

Two things need to happen by you.

Team work and desire.

It starts with YOU. And you only.

Congratulations to the rookie DeLeo. He scored his first high school goal.

Imagine that, a freshman that is a defender and a starter scores. So why can’t everyone else?

L 8-1. Game grade D. Overall record: 1-3. pac10: 0-2.
