Tuesday Verses Upper Perk

Ryan A. scored on penalty kick in 58th minute. We were taken down in the box 3 times and only 1 call. We have opportunities to score and just could not find the back of the net. The final score should have been 6-1 Pius. Thanks to Dan C for the "come out of no where" slide tackle to save the goal. Joe J - you cannot get any closer to scoring than you did at the end of the game. Keep at it.
I though we played well but not as good as we did against Antietam. We fell into the trap of playing their style of the game instead of ours. If we had crossed the ball as much as we did against Antietam - we would have scored more, much more. Some key players were a little flat but others did step up for them. That is what makes a team. The defense is solid. My offense needs to pressure more and make run right away instead of waiting. This we can work on.
We are now almost 1/3 of the way through the season. Time to sharpen the players if we are going to districts.
JV won also 5-0. Good for them!!
