Sunday night friendlies are coming to an end. Next Sunday, the 12th is the last. Being on the DL (disabled list) enables me to look more at the new players but I do not get a good sense of them as you do playing with them. Although I like what I see. The numbers for incoming freshmen are good. I have 11 solid freshmen so far and I know about 3 more. I have not seen nor heard from the 8th graders that played with us indoor over the winter - except one - Austin (he is growing like a weed on steroids).
Our passing is better than usual and our communication on the field really needs to be worked upon. We still have far too many touches on the ball. Over all I like these new players. They will fit very nice in to the scheme of things.
We have a new field located at Manderach Park in Limerick. This should be interesting. No benches or bleachers. If anyone has old benches - please bring them to the new field.
Week one: What you will learn and do:
Support on and off of the ball. What to do, when to do it. I expect this to be accomplished by THU 16
Team cuts: WED 22 AUG you will learn if you made varsity or JV.
